The Group Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Expansion to Steamboat Springs

This August, The Group celebrated the one-year anniversary of our expansion to Steamboat Springs in 2022. This expansion marks not only a strategic move into one of Colorado’s premier resort regions but also a harmonious collaboration between two like-minded real estate firms, The Group Real Estate and Colorado Group Realty (CGR). The acquisition included CGR’s main office in downtown Steamboat, as well as a second office in nearby Hayden.

In 2020, Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. announced plans to expand the ski area by 355 acres, install a second gondola, and a new base that will include shopping, dining, and improved navigation — all part of a plan that would make Steamboat one of North America’s largest ski resorts.

 

Because of its relatively traffic-free access from Northern Colorado, Steamboat is also an increasingly popular destination for residents of Larimer and Weld counties. This makes it an incredibly attractive place to purchase a vacation home. After all, nearly 25% of Steamboat buyers are Front Range residents! Having boots on the ground helps us better assist these buyers, whether they are coming from Northern Colorado or elsewhere throughout the country or the world.
